The Champagne region is most well known for its principal product - the bubbly beverage invented by Dom Perignon that is the very symbol of sophistication and celebration. More than 100 champagne cellars based mainly around Epernay and Reims provide guided tours and explanations of the champagne-making process, and of course tastings.

Day One: Start your 7 day/6 night tour in Epernay.
Check-in to the Logis de France hotel and be greeted by the hotel owner who will deliver your bike and enjoy dinner in the hotel.

Day Two: The first day of riding will take you in the direction of Chatillon sur Marne. You will follow the Marne river to Villers sous Chatillon, where you will cross the river to Boursault where you can visit the marvelous Castle of Boursault which dates back to 1848. Return to Epernay.

Day Three:Today�s route is a loop starting and finishing in Epernay in the direction of St Martin d�Ablois. You can visit and taste the specialties of the Thibaut chocolate factory in Pierry. Cycle down the avenue de Champagne, where you can visit and taste the champagnes of Mercier, Moet and Chandon or Perrier Jouet.

Day Four: You will travel from Epernay to Reims, through the regional nature park of la Montagne de Reims, where you will discover an exceptional forest. Overnight in Reims.

Day Five: Discover the west of Reims. Your route will bring you to the banks of the Vesle river, where you will cross a region which has numerous beautiful Romanesque churches and typical villages. In Reims ,discover the town center and visit the champagne houses of Mumm, Taittinger, Laurent Perrier or Veuve Cliquot.

Day Six: Return to Epernay through the forest and pass through the charming towns of Vrigny, Pargny les Reims, Sacy and Chamery.

Day Seven: Departure after breakfast.

Ability Level: Easy to Moderate difficulty. Operates Tuesday and Sunday. 18.5 -36 miles/day average.
